Disability Access
We are committed to providing a fully inclusive event, and we have worked closely with the University of Tasmania to ensure that access information is provided.
Staff will be stationed inside the entrance to The Forest building, accessible via Melville Street, from 12:00 pm on Wednesday and from 8:00 am on Thursday and Friday to welcome and help guide delegates.
Building Access - Social Story
A social story is available to guide you through entering The Forest, with photographs and clear steps for each stage of arriving at the venue. View the social story.
Sensory-friendly lounge
There is a sensory-friendly lounge on Level 1, Room 1007, which will be open on Thursday and Friday
Quiet Room
A Quiet Room has been set up - it is a space to step away from the noise and activity of the day. We ask that everyone keep this room silent, out of respect for others who may need stillness to rest and recharge. Use it whenever you need it—Level 2 Room 2003, which will be open on Thursday and Friday.
Assistance dogs
A relief area will be made available outside, and a water bowl station will also be set up.
Orientation and Mobility
Delegates who require orientation to the venue please email admin@adcet.edu.au.
Hearing Assistance
Each room will be set up with Hearing Assistance - IR (Infrared).
Captioning
Live captioning will be provided throughout each day. Instructions on how to access the captions will be provided at the start of each session.
Accessibility drop-off
There is a car drop-off zone in Brisbane Street.
