Australian Tertiary Education Commission (ATEC): A More Joined-Up Tertiary System - ADCET Submission

The Australian Tertiary Education Commission (ATEC) released a discussion paper to help shape a new Tertiary Roadmap which will outline practical steps to support a more joined-up tertiary system and improve pathways for learners.

Through the Roadmap, ATEC will identify the next steps to better support students to move into and between the VET and higher education sectors, and ensure the tertiary system is set up to help learners gain the skills and qualifications that match current and future workforce needs.

To support consultation, ATEC developed a discussion paper which focused on learner experiences and identified barriers people face when entering, moving between, and engaging across vocational education and training (VET) and higher education and invited feedback on how they could be addressed through the Roadmap.

In response ADCET put forward a submission addressing the discussion questions and providing recommendations.
