ADCET launches new resources supporting students with disability in VET
ADCET is excited to launch a new set of resources for the VET sector, developed through a project funded by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR).
Our two VET eLearning programs, Staff Supporting Students with Disability and Educators Supporting Students with Disability, have been reviewed and updated. They now reflect current legislation, the revised Standards for RTOs that took effect on 1 July 2025, and feedback from people who completed earlier versions of the programs.
Alongside the eLearning, we've published a collection of good practice stories from VET providers around the country. These case studies demonstrate what's working well for students with disability, from changes in a single classroom to approaches taken across a whole organisation. An implementation guide is also available to support organisations putting these new resources into practice.
People with disability were central to this work. A lived experience advisory group guided the project, and students and staff with disability helped shape and test the resources.
We'd like to thank the organisations who supported the project, whether by joining our advisory group or by opening their doors so we could share their practice as a case study. Your generosity has made these resources richer and more useful for the whole sector.
You'll find everything on our new Supporting Students with Disability in VET page.
