Disability Advisor - WSU (Campbelltown )

As a Disability Advisor at Western Sydney University (Campbelltown campus), you'll play a key role in supporting students with disability, chronic health conditions and/or mental health conditions to access, participate in and succeed in university life.
Through close collaboration with students and staff, you'll develop and review academic reasonable adjustment plans, provide specialist advice and advocacy, and help create accessible and inclusive learning environments. The role also supports students experiencing sensitive or complex educational issues.
Using service data, performance measures and student feedback, you'll help identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to initiatives that enhance accessibility and student outcomes. Building referral networks, maintaining accurate records and co-designing educational programs will be central to strengthening inclusion across the University community.
What Success Looks Like:
- Deliver responsive, high-quality advice, advocacy and support to students with disability.
- Develop and review effective academic reasonable adjustment plans with students and staff.
- Use service data and student feedback to identify gaps and implement targeted improvements.
- Strengthen collaborative relationships and referral pathways with internal and external partners.
- Deliver educational initiatives that promote accessibility and inclusive practice across the University.
About You
- A tertiary qualification in Allied Health, Education, Social Work or a related field.
- Extensive experience supporting and advising a diverse range of clients with disability.
- Knowledge of relevant disability discrimination, education standards, anti-discrimination and privacy legislation.
- Strong advocacy, negotiation and communication skills, including experience presenting to varied audiences.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, build collaborative relationships and use Microsoft 365 and CRM platforms.
