ADCET content writer Danielle Kutchel wins national award!
ADCET is proud to announce that Danielle Kutchel is the recipient of the 2025 National Award for Disability Leadership - Social Impact.
These Awards recognise and celebrate the extraordinary contribution and leadership shown by disabled people and our organisations in Australia today. They reflect what is important to disabled people and the ways that we are effecting change and pursuing equality for our community. They recognise outstanding achievements by individuals, or disabled people’s organisations, who have significantly contributed to advancing the status of disabled people.
The Social Impact category recognises those who increase the visibility of disabled people by using mainstream or social media, or other digital interfaces.

Danielle is currently working with the ABC in a regional bureau, she uses her position to shine a light on those living with disability: highlighting positive stories as well as injustices where they occur. Her stories have led the ABC’s coverage on some issues and reached thousands of readers, normalising inclusion in mainstream media.
Danielle has been a content writer with ADCET for over nine years and is the main author of our Disability Practice in the Spotlight articles.
