Darlene McLennan, the ADCET Manager, has officially left for 12 months to commence her ACSES Equity Fellowship which will focus on "Empowering Disability Services in Australian Higher Education: A Participatory Action Research Project on Professional Standards, Service Evaluation, and Capacity Building". In the meantime, Merrin McCracken, an experienced leader in disability support services, has stepped in as Interim Manager. ADCET has received additional funding for 2025 from the Department of Education to maintain our services and explore sustainable options for the future. Registrations are now open for the 2025 UDL Symposium. Plus, we have three new webinars coming up: Learning Together: UDL 3.0 in Action, Disability Justice in Higher Education, and Inclusive assessment design. Finally, the latest ILOTA Things podcast takes a look at how and where AI might be useful in supporting students in their learning endeavours.
