Advancing accessible science for low-vision and diverse-needs communities
The article discusses efforts to make science more accessible to people with disability, particularly those with visual impairments. It highlights the work of Jamie Rossjohn and Erica Tandori (Monash University) in developing an internship program for individuals with disability and expanding the Monash Sensory Science initiative. This project has grown from a single exhibition for blind and low-vision communities into a widely recognised multisensory science communication program, promoting inclusivity in scientific engagement on both national and international levels.
