Hello, zoom friends! My name is Dr Samantha Poulos and I will be your MC for the 2026 ADCET Universal Design for Learning Symposium, brought to you in partnership with the University of Tasmania and the Australian Centre for Student Equity and Success (ACSES).
We are thrilled to have you joining us for the symposium as we explore and discuss this year’s theme: From Ideas to Impact - Sharing, Engaging, and Co-Designing Practice.
We have a packed program across multiple streams with presentations and presenters representing the Vocational Education and Training Sector and the Higher Education sector from Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
Now to a few brief housekeeping items we would like you to know.
- Each stream during the symposium will have an online facilitator, who will have ADCET before their name in chat so you can easily identify them.
- You are welcome to have your camera on or off, but please keep your microphone turned off during presentations.
- During the symposium we will be using Slido to collect questions from the in person and online audiences, please remember to select the correct stream when asking your question. If you prefer you can use the chat box in zoom to enter your questions and your online facilitator will put these into Slido on your behalf.
- If you would like to identify the institution you are joining us from, we welcome you to rename yourself on zoom to add your institution at the end of your name.
- If you have any questions about the Symposium please reach out to your stream facilitator
- Lastly you are welcome to join the online networking sessions during the event. This is an opportunity to chat with us and other online attendees.
Once again, welcome and thank you for joining us for the 2026 ADCET UDL Symposium.
We hope you have a great time and leave inspired with new ideas ready to make an impact.
