Providing career development learning to people with disabilities

These resources aim to support careers practitioners who provide CDL to people with disabilities and were developed from a pilot program based on best practice for CDL for students with disabilities at University of Wollongong.

There are four free professional development self-paced modules available through OpenLearning. They were co-designed with students and careers practitioners and cover the following topics:

  1. Communication
  2. Working rights of people with disability
  3. Disclosure
  4. Employability programs and funding

The Case Study of Best Practice reports the findings and recommendations from the pilot program and will be of interest to practitioners, educators, academics, researchers.

Professional development program for Career Practitioners working with Students with Disability

The CDL Hub Symposium, held in February 2023, shared the outputs of their research project, with staff from across the sector sharing their experiences of designing and implementing programs.
