    Assistive Software: Metroplex's MathTalk or Scientific Notebook

    MathTalk allows the user to voice any math from pre-algebra, algebra, trig, calculus, statistics, thru Ph.D. and graduate level. This includes voicing graphs. Metroplex's MathTalk TM or Scientific Notebook TM may be helpful if the student is able to use Voice Recognition such as  Dragon Naturally Speaking.

    Assistive Technology: GTCalc Graphing Talking Calculator Software

    GTCalc has four levels of magnification and the ability to zoom in and out and turn speech on and off.
    GTCalc has the following modes: Calculate, Rational, Finance, Functions, Graph, Set Axes and Set Colour Scheme.

    With GT Calc you also have the ability to set the colour scheme to High Contrast White or High Contrast Black, and also set the color of the Desktop, Windows and Text for all screens other than the Graph screen.
    GTCalc also comes with an on-screen Help function.

    BlindMath forum for those interested in mathematics

    BlindMath is a mailing list where interested persons can discuss all issues related to blindness and math. Topics for discussion include (but are not limited to) sources for accessible texts, information about tactile and auditory graphing programs, suggestions for insuring that math lectures are accessible to blind students, and strategies used by blind math instructors. Anyone with an interest in this topic is free to join this group and contribute to the discussions.

    Design Science - how science communicates - US
