Inclusive and Accessible Workplace Designer - Disability Targeted - TAFE NSW
Employment information: Permanent full time, $145,605-$160,719
As an Inclusive and Accessible Workplace Designer, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and practical support in inclusive and accessible design so that TAFE NSW’s internal content, workplace processes and ways of working are accessible and inclusive for all staff, with particular focus on removing barriers for people with disability.
In this role you will focus on content, documents, procedures, processes and user interfaces. The role will not extend to facilities, infrastructure or systems development or procurement.
About you
You will bring demonstrated experience working collaboratively with stakeholders to provide practical advice and recommendations that improve workplace accessibility and inclusivity and solve inclusion challenges.
You will also have demonstrated knowledge of accessibility standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the principles of inclusive design. These capabilities will allow you to effectively support the ongoing development and refinement of TAFE NSW frameworks, standards, and guidelines that incorporate the social model of disability into organisational practices and ways of working.
To be successful, you will also hold a relevant Degree or Diploma at AQF Level 5–8 (or equivalent), together with appropriate vocational and/or industry experience.
