ADCET Webinar: Access for All - Championing Accessibility in the University Context
For this ADCET webinar, we were delighted to have Dr Agata Mrva-Montoya and Julie Ganner present for us.
Agata and Julie examined the roles of librarians, disability staff and educators in implementing accessibility in the university context. They discussed proactive communication with publishers and academics about accessibility, as well as planning and writing with accessibility in mind. The presentation delved into the importance of accessible formats and image descriptions (alt text) for authors, and accessible design considerations for educators. It concluded with an overview of tools and platforms that support accessibility, and providing attendees with a broad understanding of their role in fostering an inclusive university environment.
This webinar was aimed at academics, library and disability staff.
