Physical Impairment: Wacom tablets

Wacom products provide tools for making drawing and editing images efficient. These products can be of particular benefit to students with disabilities such as repetitive strain injury or carpel tunnel syndrome who are studying in art and design related areas.

Wacom pens are used to draw on a tablet’s surface or on paper (depending on the product) and the image can be further edited using the product’s software.

Tablet devices also allow for an alternate means of input to a computer where operating a mouse may not be possible.
