2019 Victoria STEMLabs February Program
This FREE program is strictly limited to just 10 places and we are looking for some of Melbourne’s most inquisitive minds to participate in a fast-paced 3-week program where you will be applying your inquisitive and investigative mind to a series of technology-based activities using robotics kits in individual and small team challenges.
Specifically, you will be designing, developing and programming LEGO Mindstorms robot innovations that will provide solutions to the challenge themes set by our facilitators. You will create detailed plans for your innovations describing the detail around how you designed, developed and programmed your robot innovation and create test documentation that will act as a user guide for your innovation.

Applying Universal Design to Address the Needs of Postsecondary Students on the Autism Spectrum
By comparing instructional strategies that benefit students with ASD to UD strategies reported in the literature, the authors illustrate how a teaching method that benefits a student with a specific disability such as ASD can inspire the development of a UD strategy designed to benefit all students. Potential benefits of the UD approach for students with ASD are revealed and recommendations are made for future research as well as professional development and support for faculty that can be delivered and/or promoted by disability support personnel.
