Equity Evaluation Coordinator - Swinburne University of Technology

Employment information: Full time; HEW 7 salary + 17% super

Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, the Equity Evaluation Coordinator ensures that program and service objectives are clearly defined, well understood and achievable. The role is responsible for interpreting complex funding guidelines and reporting requirements, and for guiding the development and implementation of robust evaluation and reporting frameworks that support effective program assessment.

The Equity Evaluation Coordinator is also responsible for building evaluation capability across the Portfolio by supporting and upskilling colleagues, including service managers. The role ensures that agreed evaluation practices, processes and tools are applied consistently and effectively, enabling services and initiatives to remain purposeful, evidence-based and outcomes-focused.

Key Accountabilities

  • Strong analytical and critical reasoning skills, with the ability to interpret complex funding guidelines and reporting requirements and translate them into practical evaluation strategies
  • Experience working with data from multiple sources and systems, including the ability to query relational databases (e.g. SQL) and manage data across varied environments
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to synthesise findings into clear reports, dashboards and presentations for diverse audiences
  • Familiarity with quantitative and mixed-methods approaches to program evaluation, with the critical judgement to determine what data is needed and how best to analyse it
  • Experience in higher education or the public sector is valued but not essential — what matters is your ability to navigate complex institutional environments and work collaboratively across teams

Qualifications

A degree with at least 4 years’ subsequent relevant experience; ; or extensive experience in program evaluation, data analysis, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
