Administrative Officer, Examinations (Accessibility) - The University of Queensland

Employment information: Full-time, continuing; $83,776 - $93,121 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 5); Location: St Lucia Campus.

The Administrative Officer, Examinations (Accessibility) is a newly created position providing administrative and coordination support to the Project Officer, Examinations (Accessibility). Working closely with the Project Coordinator and Examinations team, you'll provide essential administrative, coordination and documentation support for a major three‑year initiative, alongside hands‑on involvement in day‑to‑day examinations operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing administrative and project support to the Project Coordinator, including meeting coordination, action tracking, and maintaining project documentation
  • Collecting and maintaining data, mapping examination workflows, and supporting process improvement activities
  • Assisting with project communications and stakeholder engagement, including updates, feedback registers, and routine correspondence
  • Supporting operational and administrative support during examination periods, including assisting with accessibility-related activities.

Additional Requirements

  • Availability to work flexible hours during peak examination periods.
  • Ability to work across multiple campus locations as required.

About You

  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant area or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under general direction, and within a team environment, to prioritise own workload, meet deadlines and work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, and handle sensitive and confidential matters, using sound judgement and discretion.
  • High-level competence in the use of a wide range of computer applications in a network environment; experience with databases and management information systems including SI-net, Business Objects, UniFi, CRM, and TRIM or a capacity to rapidly gain such knowledge.
  • Demonstrated initiative, agility and openness to change, displaying a desire to learn new skills.
  • A strong focus on the provision of a high-level customer service in a high-volume environment.
  • Sound understanding of university rules, policies and procedures and experience with using enterprise systems. or a capacity to rapidly gain such knowledge.
