Neuroinclusion Adviser - Queensland University of Technology

Employment information: Fixed-term, full-time basis until 24 July 2027; HEW7, $103,811 to $113,557 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading; Location: Gardens Point

The Neuroinclusion Adviser plays a pivotal role in advancing inclusive practices and tailored support for neurodiverse students, particularly those with an Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) diagnosis. Working within Disability and Accessibility Services, the Adviser provides direct coaching, facilitates skill-building workshops, and collaborates with academic and professional staff to foster neuroinclusive learning environments.

What you need to succeed

  • Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to a degree in Psychology, Education, Allied Health, or a related field with subsequent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching or mentoring roles, including the ability to support individuals in setting and achieving goals, developing self-awareness, and building confidence in academic or professional contexts.
  • Demonstrated experience working with neurodiverse individuals in an educational or support setting, including applying evidence-based strategies and emerging technologies to support learning.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of ADHD, autism, and executive functioning challenges in tertiary education.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage projects and initiatives, including setting goals, tracking progress, and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent oral, and written communication skills, combined with strong organisational abilities to work independently, prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work as an effective member of a team, and to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across large organisations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement
