Administrative Support Officer (Equity) - Murdoch University

Employment information: Contract/Temp; $73k - $89k p.a. + 17% Superannuation

Murdoch University's Access and Inclusion team is looking for an Administrative Support Officer who will play a key role in supporting their staff and helping deliver important services to students. This role provides day‑to‑day administrative support across the Access and Inclusion Office and wider Access, Wellbeing & Equity services, while also coordinating practical supports for students with disability and/or health conditions.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver professional, confidential front‑of‑house services, including scheduling and prioritising appointments across Murdoch campuses.
  • Coordinate coursework and exam support for students with disabilities or health conditions managing equipment, software, casual staff, and assessment logistics and keeping clear documentation of all processes.
  • Respond to in‑person, phone, and email enquiries from students, staff and the public, providing appropriate support and prioritising needs, including situations where students may be distressed or in crisis.

What you'll bring to the role

  • A diploma‑level qualification with relevant experience, or a combination of education and practical experience.
  • Strong administrative and reception skills, ideally in disability, wellbeing, or healthcare settings, including experience using electronic record systems.
  • The ability to support students with empathy, positivity, and professionalism-even in challenging situations.
  • High digital literacy, confident use of Microsoft Office, and a willingness to learn new systems.
  • Excellent organisation and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
