Employment information: Full-time, fixed term until 31/12/2026; HEO7 base salary from $106,472 per annum + 17% Superannuation
About the position
The Student Advisor (Accessibility) provides specialised advice and advocacy for students seeking accessibility support. The role supports students by monitoring their progress and providing tailored, proactive interventions to help ensure their academic success.
Student Advisors may be assigned to support specific student cohorts (for example, by discipline, campus location or mode of study). A key focus of the role is supporting students who may be considered ‘at risk’, providing case-managed advice and support to improve outcomes for individual students and the broader student cohort.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- An undergraduate degree in any area relevant to the position with at least 4 years subsequent experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the capacity to work collaboratively and cooperatively within a team.
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills with successful experience in managing and leading staff to promote a cohesive and effective team and managing workflows.
- Demonstrated organisation and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage several different projects concurrently.
- Demonstrated skills in research, evaluation or interpretation of data.
