Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) replaces Disability Employment Services (DES)

Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) is a new specialist disability employment Australian Government program set to replace Disability Employment Services (DES) from 1 November 2025. It is designed to support people with disability, injury or health conditions in finding and maintaining employment.

The program will offer more personalised, flexible, and long-term support, removing time limits and expanding eligibility to a wider range of individuals, including those not on Centrelink payments and people who can only work part-time. Participants will be able to choose their provider and receive ongoing support to achieve their career goals.

  • You can choose your provider
  • You can move to a new provider at any time
  • You don’t need to get government payments to be in the program
  • There will be some new providers – some may have skills that interest you
