TAFE Disability Transition Support Officer - The Gordon
Employment information: Full-time fixed-term contract to 15 February 2028, $78,122 to $83,948 p.a. (pro-rata) plus Superannuation
As the TAFE Disability Transition Support Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting students with disabilities as they make the important move from secondary school (including specialist and alternative education settings) into TAFE. You’ll be their guide and advocate for the first 90 days of their learning journey, working with a 'Team Around the Learner’ framework to ensure a smooth and supported transition.
Duties
- Partner with secondary schools to build understanding of the TAFE learning environment
- Share and promote best practice transition strategies across the Victorian TAFE network
- Provide tailored support, guidance, and monitoring of students during their early enrolment
- Collaborate closely with our passionate Disability Inclusion team and report to the Student Wellbeing & Inclusion Manager
- Connect with The Gordon’s Centre of Excellence, who design and develop valuable initiatives across Disability and Inclusion learning
