Manager, UQ Disability Collaboratory - The University of Queensland
Employment information: Full-time, fixed-term position through to December 2027, $113,377.67 - $127,112.24, 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 8)
The Disability Collaboratory is a University of Queensland initiative which aims to galvanise its significant but currently distributed research expertise in order to maximise research impact and output. The Collaboratory is the primary means by which UQ enacts its commitment to research excellence in the fields of disability inclusion and was established following the University's adoption of the Champions of Change Disability Inclusion Research and Innovation Plan.
In addition to including a commitment to forming a high-impact disability research network, the Plan aims to make UQ a leader in disability inclusion research, ensuring that people with lived experience of disability play a central role in shaping research outcomes.
In this role, you will support the Director, UQ Disability Collaboratory, and will provide operational leadership to the Disability Collaboratory, including stakeholder engagement and administration of research income and contracting. You will also provide oversight, planning and execution with respect to events, communications, and other activities of the Disability Collaboratory.
Additionally, you will provide foundational support to the mission of the Disability Collaboratory, which seeks to position UQ disability research for external funding success and maximum impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the initial coordination, planning, and governance of the Disability Collaboratory with respect to financial arrangements, administration, and communications planning.
- Working with the Director, map UQ disability research activities in order to grow this UQ disability research ecosystem and maximise the profile of these activities.
- Supporting planning for major bid processes and identifying industry funding opportunities. Work with the UQ Research Office to facilitate contract research and partnership opportunities.
- Plan and deliver events to support the aims and ambitions of the Disability Collaboratory, including symposia, conferences, co-labs, and roundtables.
- Develop and oversee the Disability Collaboratory's website, social media, marketing, and email collateral.
- Support internal Disability Collaboratory networking activities and communities of practice.
- In conjunction with expert facilitators, deliver/develop training activities for the Disability Collaboratory, including the creation of learning resources, across topics such as accessible research methodologies and accessible publication practices
