JANZSSA: Student Disability Collectives in Australian Universities: A Desktop Review

Student disability collectives (SDCs) are independent, student-led organisations providing representation, social networks, and resources for students with disability across 25 Australian institutions. This first-of-its-kind study documents the prevalence, nature, and function of SDCs through desktop research of publicly available information, revealing insights about student unionist culture across different universities. These findings have implications for future research relating to SDCs and student representation more broadly, as well as for understanding the institutional conditions from which vibrant and organic student representation emerges.
