Equitable WIL: Building host organisation capacity to ensure safe and inclusive WIL programs for students with a disability
These resources were produced as an outcome of the 2021 ACEN Research Grant “Equitable WIL: Building host organisation capacity to ensure safe and inclusive WIL programs for students with a disability” led by Tanya Lawlis, University of Canberra.
The project explored the challenges and capacity of host organisations to provide a safe, meaningful, equitable and inclusive WIL experience for health students with disability through the perceptions of students and host organisations. The findings from this project informed the development of industry-relevant resources to facilitate host organisation engagement, capacity and confidence to provide safe and appropriate WIL opportunities that meet legislation and university requirements and improve student with disability engagement.
