AHEAD Long COVID Higher Education Survey

AHEAD USA is undertaking research into the impact of Long COVID on students in Higher Education as a result of the emerging issue that higher education professionals must contend with. There are growing numbers of students requesting accommodations related to Long COVID symptoms. Long COVID describes a wide range of new, returning, or ongoing health problems people can experience four or more weeks after first being infected with the virus that causes COVID-19. Even people who did not have COVID-19 symptoms in the days or weeks after they were infected can have post-COVID conditions. These conditions can have different types and combinations of health problems for different lengths of time.

Long COVID is recognised as a disability in the USA and there is much discussion in Australia amongst Disability Practitioners. Contributing to this survey may assist ADCET to draw on international research and we will be exploring opportunities in Australia to develop additional content around this. If you are interested in being involved please email admin@adcet.edu.au

In the meantime, we encourage you to contribute to AHEAD’s survey.
