ADCET Newsletter: February #3 2022

This week, we are announcing a new ADCET webinar: Discover Glean’s Latest Features, now including Transcription!, which will share all the fantastic features and note taking enhancements that have been made to Glean over the previous few months.

Plus, in conjunction with Blind Citizens Australia, ADCET will be launching the guidelines and eLearning program for Online Tertiary Access for Students and Staff who are Blind or Vision Impaired. This session will go through the history and importance of these guidelines and how they can assist educators provide a more inclusive and accessible online experience for everyone.

And if you missed ADCET's last webinar on Supporting Students with ADHD in the Tertiary Sector you can now view the recording.

NCSEHE have also released three new research reports:

  • Meaningful Jobs for Students with Disability - From Luck to Business as Usual
  • Calculating the Costs of Supporting People with Disability in Australian Higher Education
  • Re-imagining Exams - How Do Assessment Adjustments Impact on Inclusion?

There will be a seminar for the NCSEHE report on Re-imagining Exams hosted by Dr Joanna Tai, from Deakin University, which will outline the findings from her research.

And finally, a reminder that ADCET has negotiated access to two seasons of the Association of Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) in the USA webinar series for the Australian tertiary sector. The Spring series covers a variety of topics from technology applications to faculty and administrator relationships.
