ADCET Newsletter: September #2 2021

ADCET is proud to announce the launch of ADCET Assist. This is a trial service provided by ADCET and the National Assistive Technology Project Officer to support educators and disability support staff in the tertiary sector with all your burning queries relating to Accessibility, Teaching and Technology.

This week we are asking you to help us improve by taking a short 1-2 minute survey next time you visit ADCET.

There are two new ADCET events now open for registration:

  • Critical Conversations Disclosing disability in higher education: What’s in it for the student?
  • ADCET facilitated discussion with Tertiary providers using Blackboard Ally

We are highlighting a new blog from Saima Khan about the challenges she faced throughout her tertiary studies, and also our resident Assistive Technology Project Officer, Darren Britten, provides some advice, and apps, for reading online content and removing the clutter.

Lastly, for those who were unable to attend, or would like to review the content, we have the recording from our last webinar available for viewing: Improving outcomes for dyslexic learners in tertiary education, including answers that were unable to be addressed during the session. Read more >>
