Accessibility Technology Officer - Murdoch
Employment information: Continuous part-time (33.75 hours per week). $91K - $98K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions. Based at South Street and working across all campuses
Murdoch University is seeking a collaborative and compassionate professional who is passionate about empowering students to reach their full potential. As an Accessibility Technology Officer, you will play a key role in promoting accessibility and ensuring equitable access to learning environments.
In this role, you will coordinate services for students with complex support needs, particularly those with sensory disabilities, across both face‑to‑face and online settings. This includes managing supports such as captioning, transcription, Auslan interpreting and other communication services.
You will also provide high‑level administrative support, including research, procurement, financial processing and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. While primarily coordination‑focused, this role places strong emphasis on using technology to create inclusive learning experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with faculty, professional staff, students, and external service providers.
- Coordinating accessibility supports for students across a range of courses.
- Managing payments and procurement for accessibility services.
- Developing and delivering training for students on assistive technology.
- Working with University staff to identify opportunities for accessibility education and training.
