Inclusion Support Officer - Southern Cross University

Employment Information: Full-time, fixed term (2 years) - flexible part-time options considered; HEW Level 5, $83,563 - $92,857 per annum, plus 17% superannuation

Located at either Gold Coast, QLD 4225, or Lismore, NSW 2480

Your opportunity

As our Inclusion Support Officer within the Study Well team, you’ll play an important role in coordinating the delivery of support services that enable students with disabilities or long-term health conditions to participate equitably in their studies.

You will make an impact by:

  • Supporting the Inclusion Support Worker (ISW) program, ensuring students are matched with appropriate supports.
  • Coordinating and implementing assistive technology and accessibility solutions.
  • Collaborating across teams to deliver inclusive education initiatives that help students succeed.
  • Supporting the onboarding, training and coordination of up to 20 casual ISWs.
  • Managing data, reporting and procurement processes to ensure service delivery and compliance.

We’re seeking a passionate individual committed to inclusive support, with a strong interest in progressing toward an Inclusion Adviser role as part of their career development

To succeed in this role, you will also need:

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree and experience in education, allied health, mental health, disability services or related field.
  • Knowledge and/or proven experience in working inclusive education practices, disability services, and accommodations, ideally within a University setting.
  • A keen interest in new and transforming technologies
  • Strong administrative and coordination skills, with experience scheduling staff.
  • A proactive, intuitive approach to problem-solving and commitment to equity and inclusion.
