AccessAbility Administration Officer - Swinburne University of Technology

As part of the AccessAbility Services team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring students with disability or health conditions receive the support and adjustments they need to reach their potential. The Administration Officer is the first point of contact for students seeking advice or support. You’ll be responsible for triaging student enquiries and ensuring they are directed to the right information, resources or staff member.
In this dynamic, student-facing role, you’ll provide support through a range of communication channels including face-to-face, phone, and email while maintaining a warm, professional, and inclusive approach.
Beyond frontline service, you’ll provide high-quality administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of AccessAbility Services. This includes coordination of day-to-day office functions, finance and HR administration, and liaison with internal and external stakeholders such as academic staff, schools, and external student support providers to help implement educational adjustments.

- Proven experience delivering high-quality administrative and client support in a busy, service-oriented environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally and sensitively with a diverse range of people.
- Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to managing competing priorities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating sound judgement, initiative, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
Qualifications
- Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; OR
- Completion of an associate diploma and at subsequent relevant work experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
