Employment Information: Fixed term (14 Months), full time; $97K - $128K (pro rata) plus 17% super
The Learning Accessibility Consultant plays a key role in advancing inclusive education across the University. Based within Access and Inclusion, this position supports students with disabilities and health conditions by promoting accessible learning environments and design.
Key responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies to enhance accessibility and student success across face-to-face and online delivery.
- Collaborate with academic and professional staff to foster inclusive teaching practices, accessible curriculum design and student-focused learning environments.
- Use data and specialist knowledge to identify priority areas and develop targeted support models for high-need cohorts.
- Provide individualized support through recommendation of appropriate and evidence based, reasonable adjustments for students with disability or health conditions whose needs are not met through the UDL initiatives in place.
- Deliver training on accessible technologies, disability and UDL.
