Work Integrated Learning or Work Placements
Work Integrated Learning (WIL) is often an integral part of the learning journey for students while at university or with another educational provider. Different education providers may have different names for WIL depending on the context. It can also be known as work placements, clinical placements, practicums, industry projects, work simulations, or field placements.
Students may need to consider additional preparation for WIL and ADCET has developed a number of resources to assist students with this. Disability practitioners will also find these resources helpful when preparing students for placements or talking to WIL staff about supporting students with disability.
