Stepping Into Internships - Summer 24/25
Are you a student or recent graduate with disability, or do you know a student or recent graduate with disability looking for a paid role? Australian Disability Network’s Stepping Into Summer Internship program is now open for applications.
The Stepping Into Program offers practical, paid work experience for students and recent graduates with disability aligned with their field of study. Australian Disability Network supports applicants with a barrier free recruitment process, including workplace adjustments considered at every step of the process. The participating employers are prominent Australian organisations committed to access and inclusion - taking a leadership role in providing opportunities to students with disability.
With over 150 roles available, students with disability can apply for a range of positions – from interning in Public Services at the State Government departments, to working with leading Australian private businesses – there’s a diverse range of jobs for a diverse range of degrees.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this program, applicants must:
- Have a disability, mental health condition or chronic illness.
- Be a university student in their final or second-last year of study or have graduated in the last three years.
- Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or international student with full working rights in Australia.
- Commit to the entire program.
- Provide evidence from university disability services or a medical professional indicating a disability, mental health condition or chronic illness.
Information Sessions
Information sessions and recruitment skill workshops are run throughout September and October for potential applicants and those supporting eligible students and graduates.
