Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) 2021 Graduate Outcomes Survey

According to the QILT 2021 Graduate Outcomes Survey the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic continued to be felt in the Australian labour market. However, after declining between 2019 and 2020, the full-time undergraduate employment rate for graduates (68.9%) of Australian higher education institutions increased slightly in 2021, suggesting some recovery of the labour market.

Unfortunately, undergraduates with disability still have a fulltime employment rate (58.7%) lower that undergraduates without disability (70%). Similarly, rates for overall employment and labour force participation were lower as well.

The GOS is completed by graduates approximately four months after completion of their studies. It provides information on the labour market outcomes and further study activities of graduates. Employment data collected includes information on salaries, occupation and skills utilisation.
