ADCET and colleagues feature in podcasts from across the sector

ADCET’s work has been featured in three podcast episodes from across the sector recently, with colleagues speaking to the Think UDL podcast and Vision Australia’s Talking Vision podcast.

We were delighted that our colleagues Meredith Jackson, (Teacher/Leading Vocational Teacher, SkillsTech, TAFE Queensland) and Jen Cousins (Teaching and Learning Specialist in Accessibility and Inclusive Education, TAFE South Australia) spoke with the ThinkUDL podcast about how Universal Design for Learning (UDL) has been integrated into technical and further education in Australia.

The pair also discussed the UDL in Tertiary Education e-Learning course that we’ve developed to help support educators to design, develop and implement UDL within their teaching practice.

Also joining a separate episode of the Think UDL podcast was Erin Leif (Senior Lecturer, Monash University) and Lizzie Knight (Research Fellow, Mitchell Institute: Centre for International Research on Education Systems), who discussed UDL's High Impact Teaching Blueprint. The conversation focused on disability, diversity, inclusion, belonging, and how UDL can be used as a blueprint to engage High Impact Teaching Strategies to include a wide variety of students.

Finally, our own Darren Britten appeared on Vision Australia’s Talking Vision podcast recently to discuss our Online Access for Tertiary Students who are Blind or Vision Impaired guidelines and e-Learning resources. Darren discussed the importance of accessible education and how these two new resources can be used to improve accessibility and inclusion for students who are blind or vision impaired, particularly during online learning.
