An introduction to Digital Accessibility
With RMIT’s Ronny Andrade Parra, Digital Accessibility Lead.
When created with accessibility in mind, digital technologies can be a way to remove barriers for people with disabilities, As an estimated 1 billion people worldwide will experience disability in their lives, we need to ensure digital content and platforms are accessible. But, how can we do that? In this seminar, we will cover the basics of digital accessibility, and will provide an introduction to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), an industry standard to create accessible digital content and experiences. Accessible ICT procurement
Presented by Andrew Normand from Melbourne University, this presentation will provide an overview of the latest developments in Accessible ICT Procurement. It will also examine tools that can be used, such as RFP questions, risk assessment, user testing and provision of alternate access.
