MyPlus: The ‘Be Disability Confident on Campus’ Toolkit Webinar
The MyPlus Disability Confidence on Campus Toolkit provides information, resources and guidance to University staff who are supporting students with disabilities as they search for placements, internships and graduate roles.
In addition to insights around disability and the challenges facing students with disabilities as they transition from university to employment, the Toolkit provides practical resources to upskill both staff and students.
Following on from the previous MyPlus webinars, ‘Disability confidence on campus’ and ‘Encouraging openness’, this webinar will showcase the MyPlus Disability Confidence on Campus Toolkit including what is included and how to leverage it to get the most out of it.
During the webinar, you will have the opportunity to view the contents including:
- Why disability matters
- Understanding disability
- Employment challenges facing students with disabilities
- The Staff Development Session
- Student Skills sessions
- Conversation cards
The webinar will be delivered by Helen Cooke, Director of MyPlus. It will provide you with plenty of opportunity to ask questions; the format will also enable you to learn from others working in this challenging space.
