Social justice, inclusive design and Open Educational Practices

The Australian Open Textbook project will hold a virtual seminar and discussion that is very timely as higher education deals with major changes in the wake of COVID-19 - including the need for policy adjustments and equity initiatives to address local and international digital divides. 

Anne Lennox who is leading that work will be presenting. The discussion portion of the event will be chaired by Matt Brett, policy and equity expert at Deakin University.

This is a timely discussion as higher education deals with major changes in the wake of COVID-19, including the need for Higher Education policy adjustments and equity initiatives to address local and international digital divides.

This seminar is part of the ‘Australian Open Textbooks as social justice’ project which is currently interviewing students, academics, librarians and staff from various universities in Australia on the use of textbooks and the potential of adopting OER and diversification of content.
