TSEP process: First of four steps - TAFE considers and approves TSEP

TSEP process: TAFE campus considers and approves TSEP

Since piloting in 2018, TSEP Partners have continually monitored program delivery and developed good practice.

This section of the toolkit showcases the TSEP program from initial concept to successfully marketing and embedding partnerships into TAFE disability and careers services.

Video transcript

TSEP improves graduate employment outcomes for students with disability by establishing an on-campus specialist recruitment service that links a Specialist Employment Service consultant with TAFE career advisers and disability support officers.

This aligns with TAFE’s Strategic Disability Action Plan by working to increase graduate employment outcomes through improved preparation and support prior to and post completion of studies.

This section provides a general overview of the TSEP program, including historical and statistical background to date.

Also in this section, are template presentations and other material that can be used to generate interest amongst key stakeholders.

TSEP Overview

Students with disabilities are embracing and achieving success in tertiary study including demonstrating the highest growth rate as a percentage of enrolments.  However, employment outcomes remain extremely low.

The TSEP program focuses on addressing this inequity by providing specialised and comprehensive employment preparation support to students with disability throughout their final year of study and beyond.
