Interview: Alastair McEwin, Disability Discrimination Commissioner
Alastair McEwin has recently taken up the role of National Disability Discrimination Commissioner. He has both the personal and professional experience to comment on the benefits of inclusion programs for people with disabilities.
Alastair McEwin was born profoundly deaf and besides his former roles heading the Deaf Council of New South Wales and the Deaf Society, he also studied law and business at university.
He is calling for more learning institutions to include people with disabilities, saying employers and government also need to step up.
