South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC)

South Australia Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC) processes applications for all undergraduate courses in South Australia and the Northern Territory, as well as courses at TAFE SA. SATAC operates admissions on a quota (i.e. the total number of applicants that can be accepted for a course) and sub quota basis (i.e. the numbers allocated to each entry category to make up the total quota for the course). Sub quotas are allocated to the following entry categories: Year 12, Higher Education, TAFE, VET, Special Entry, and foundation/enabling studies.

Alternative Entry Schemes:  In addition, SATAC administers schemes to support those students who may not be as competitive as others gain a place at university

The Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) for non-school leavers assesses a broad range of competencies and skills required for post-secondary study.
