How to Find Information

Finding information in CATS is easy. For instance if you are looking for information about reasonable adjustments you could:

BROWSE CATS - Simply click on the category of interest e.g. Learning & Teaching and browse through the good practice areas such as Course Delivery to find the topic in which you are interested. Each of these areas provides examples of good practice and benchmarks. By clicking "Read More" you will find useful tips for achieving these benchmarks.

Related resources can be found by clicking the  "View Resources'' link. The information will be displayed grouped by Hot Topics and FAQs, Fact Sheets and Resources and Web Links.

SEARCH CATS - Enter the search term in the Search Window and click “GO” or  press Enter. If you enter multiple search terms CATS will look for FAQs, documents and Web Links in which both words occur ie it uses the AND operator.

Select 'Advanced Search' for a more comprehensive search.  Information will be displayed grouped by:

  • Tips and Strategies - short bites of information on important issues
  • Hot Topics & FAQs - short bites of information from the FAQ database
  • Fact Sheets & Resources - Longer articles research papers and resources in Word or PDF format stored in our database
  • Web Links - Links to related websites
  • Other Information - information form introductory or contextual pages on the site
