Welcome to CATS
CATS website now updated to reflect AVCC Guidelines
In 2006 the AVCC developed Disability Guidelines, to assist universities in meeting the needs of students with disabilities across the spectrum of the student experience from recruitment and selection through to transition to employment. The Guidelines for good practice encompass the three key areas of policy and administration, teaching and learning and campus life and services.
This website has a framework for good practice that provides information and resources to assist universities to comply with these guidelines and the Disability Discrimination Act and Disability Standards for Education.
The framework includes a Self Assessment tool to assist universities to review performance against benchmarks.
