The Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC)
is the central office that receives and processes applications for admission to
most undergraduate degree courses at participating institutions in Western
Australia. TISC assesses each application and ranks eligible applicants in order
of merit for each course according to the rules and guidelines provided by each
tertiary provider. The role of TISCis not to determine who will receive offers
but to simply co-ordinate the process, and post notification of offers on behalf
of participating tertiary institutions. TISC is not a government body and is
funded both by participating institutions and the processing fees paid by
applicants.
