The Admissions Office at the University of Tasmania (UTAS) is the central office that receives and processes applications for admission to undergraduate courses offered by the university. The admissions office assesses each application and ranks eligible applicants in order of merit for each course according to its rules and guidelines.
Who Can Apply?
How to apply?
Applicants can lodge their applications online through the university's apply-by-web facility on the UTAS website or by post after filling out an application form and sending it to the university. To complete an application by post applicants will need a copy of the UTAS Application Form and the relevant Admissions Guide.
Important dates
For information on important dates refer to the UTAS website. Applications for semester 1 courses must be submitted by the deadline otherwise applications will only be considered if there are places available in the courses listed on the application form.
The UTAS Course Guide
Every year UTAS produces a course guide that sets out the range of Bachelor degrees, Associate degrees, Diplomas and Advanced Diploma courses offered at the university. This guide sets out the minimum entry requirements for each course and the alternate pathways that are available. The prospectus and course guide can be accessed from the UTAS website.
