The Universities Admissions Centre (NSW & ACT) Pty Ltd (UAC) is the central office that receives and processes applications for admission to most undergraduate degree, advanced diploma, diploma and associate diploma courses at participating institutions in NSW and the ACT. The role of UAC is not to determine who will receive offers but to simply co-ordinate the process, and post notification of offers on behalf of tertiary institutions. UAC also receives and processes applications for Equity Scholarships and Educational Access Schemes on behalf of participating institutions.
Who Can Apply?
The following applicants must apply through UAC:

The UAC Course Guide
Every year UAC produces a course guide that sets out the range of Bachelor degrees, Associate degrees, Diplomas and Advanced Diploma courses that are available in NSW and the ACT. This guide sets out the minimum entry requirements for each course and alternate pathways that are available. The UAC also produces a sister publication that outlines the range of post graduate study courses that are available. The publication can be purchased from the UAC or from a range of outlets across NSW and the ACT including new agencies and bookstores.

Equity Scholarships
UAC provides a central application and assessment process for two major equity programs administered by tertiary institutions in the ACT. Equity Scholarships (ES) are open to currently enrolled students and applicants for admission in 2007 who experience financial hardship to assist them with the costs of their education and accommodation. Educational Access Schemes (EAS) are designed to assist students who have experienced long-term educational disadvantage through circumstances beyond their control or by choosing to gain access to tertiary study
